As part of our RE work we used play-dough to be creative.

FOREST SCHOOL

Year 1 have loved their first session of the year in Forest School. We have been building bug houses, climbing trees, making dens and generally enjoying a lovely time with our friends.

Today we have celebrated how special and unique we are and shared how

we are trying to be courageous advocates 

and do our bit to help make the world better for everyone.

BeeBots

Learning all about algorithms and debugging using the BeeBots

Fruit Kebabs

As part of our DT work we enjoyed making fruit kebabs. We learnt about how healthy fruit is and why it is important for us to eat a variety of fruit each day. After making our kebabs we evaluated them and thought about how they could have been even better by dipping them in syrup or honey.

Under the Ocean Artwork

We worked in teams to create underwater scenes. First we draw lots of different types of lines with pastels. Then we used crayon to add some further detail and shading before drawing plants and creatures.

Penguin Day

To celebrate our book 'Lost and Found' Year 1 enjoyed taking part in a Penguin Day. Everyone came dressed as penguins or wearing black and white. We enjoyed learning a new penguin song, making and decorating penguin biscuits, making penguins and going on a penguin trail.
